A reflection on New Year Imlek 2560

26 January 2009

I like war movies, and one which I think is the most powerful film entitled: THE EAGLE HAS LANDED (the Garuda has landed). Diperani a film by Michael Caine is about kegagahperkasaan a legendary Nazi German officer named Colonel Kurt Steiner. There showing how the colonel with extraordinary courage who headed the 16 combat capability of the command, successfully landed in the UK and mengobrak upset troops associate who was already occupied Poland.

Since the beginning to the end, the audience continued diprovokasi-scenes battle scenes tense, exciting and loaded with the values of heroic patriotism. Although in the end Colonel Steiner as martyrs killed, but the mission was successful diembannya successfully at the same time cause a great loss to the troops associate. That is a real story that happened in the military during the war.

A story of heroism during a peaceful environment is also going on in civil society. Football lunge a Colonel who does not exclaim him lose a lot of people have been Conference. He is Colonel Sanders, who at age 65 has been so stout-hearted continent to explore with the United States in a crate, knock the door of the house in 1000 more people only to find partners in order to build the kingdom of the business, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).

All stories - either aired or dibukukan - only to be exciting, interesting and valuable to disimak when many scenes in-tense scenes. Emotional shocks-shocks always needed to create a true-story quality. Cycle is always show the same thing, starting from the figures appear in a situation full of pressure, not colored with ketidakberdayaan rare, limited, even insult slur, and then proceed with the valiant struggle, and ended in 2 likelihood of success (happy ending), or martyrdom (sad ending).

I imagine, how bangganya children and grandchildren Kol. Steiner and Kol. Sanders when hearing stories about the extraordinary people lunge-kick their parents. Proud because they realize that the predecessor of the leaders who are respected.

What about us? Have we string our own life story with a variety of experiences excite, exciting and tense story that makes it so that quality?

If not, let's leave the comfort zone that until now we still rangkul freeze, then to the field of combat as The Eagle Has Landed. No matter whether the end of the story we will be "happy ending", or "sad ending". It is important, with the field of combat to make a story we have our quality of life. Acts of our children and grandchildren proud to hear, is not ashamed because her parents loser who did not battle at all.
